East End Trades Guild

We are very proud to be members of the newly formed East End Trades Guild which is a new co-operative of small independent proprietor owned and run businesses in the East End.

You'll see the logo, designed by another East End Trades Guild member  James Brown in our window and popping up in lots of other windows in the area too!

There was a fantastic launch at Christ Church, Spitalfields on Monday night which you can read all about HERE!

Columbia Road Christmas Wednesdays

I actually can't believe it's this time of year again...already! The ever popular Columbia Road Christmas Wednesdays start in one weeks time!

In the run up to Christmas, the shops and businesses along Columbia Road, mostly only open at the weekends, will also be opening between 5pm and 9pm on Wednesday evenings starting on November 28th.

Columbia Road is one of the few streets in London composed entirely of independent shops and as such is a wonderful place to discover products not found on the high street and at the same time support small and local businesses.

Sarah Lippett at Ryantown

Very occasionally we hand over the wall space in Ryantown to an artist whose work Rob particularly admires. This time we are very excited to be showing the work of illustrator Sarah Lippett in the shop between 10th November and 18th November.  Sarah is currently studying for her masters at the Royal College of Art.

Sarah makes the most beautiful ceramics in collaboration with the potter Emma Gaston, some of which will be for sale in Ryantown alongside her pencil drawings and prints.

Please do come along and take a look!

Its an incredibly special day here at the studio as its ROB'S 50TH BIRTHDAY!!! As the majority of us are big Harry Potter fans (Rob especially), we decided to lay out a Great Hall spread as a surprise.... Jackie made some incredible hand-painted banners, Libby made the Sorting Hat cake and everybody chipped in to make the table look incredible and cook a brilliant Roast Chicken lunch in our tiny kitchen. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB!!!!!
