Whenever we have a new laser cut in Ryantown they literally fly off the walls. This time Rob has produced a limited edition laser cut especially for The Victoria & Albert Museum. They are all signed and numbered in an edition of 500 and will be sold EXCLUSIVELY in the V & A shop and V & A website only, available from this Wednesday 15th September.

Both the sun and the dogs were out along Columbia Road on Sunday and there was a wonderfully happy and relaxed atmosphere along the street. Barney the camera shy but gorgeously friendly Border Terrier was back, Rachel and her lovely dog Daisy, and Herman ( the German ) a beautiful silver dapple dachshund. If this carries on I might need to invest in some doggie treats for the shop.

Rob's beautiful needlepoint wallhanging produced in collaboration with The Rug Company, mentioned in an earlier post and hanging impressively behind the counter in Ryantown, has been nominated in the Best British Pattern section of the 2010 British Design Awards. I took this photograph a few weeks ago when the sun was shining and we had beautiful shadows cast all through the shop, including this one from the window. It might not look all that impressive..... and you might need to have been there.... but it was rather lovely. Honestly!

Apologies for going quiet on you for so long, I had my face turned towards the sun. Back now and pleased to say there are lots of great new things coming up very soon, including this fantastic new tapestry cushion kit, which should be in the shop next month, along with a BRAND NEW ********** in an amazing new colourway in the next week or two. Also we are very excited to be having a ********* **** in Ryantown in October as well as TWO!! *********** in November. How exciting is that.....( sorry you'll just have to keep checking the blog!! ).

We had a lovely weekend in the shop. Somehow peaceful and chaotic at the same time. I think what made it particularly enjoyable were the conversations. This weekend was full of them. I do love it when people come back to show us their new babies, or introduce us to the friend they bought a tile for, or come by specially to say how much they loved their print. We also had lots of four legged visitors. Three month old french bulldog Atom was happy to gaze directly at the camera to have his photograph taken.
