But I Made It With My Hands

Also brand new in the shop yesterday. We have two of these beautiful framed tile panels. They are £400 each, and you can see one in the window this weekend.

More Cushions

We have lots more cushions, in lots more colours this weekend in Ryantown. All printed by hand in the studio of course!

There is a lovely piece about Rob's show at Charleston Gallery, on Spitalfields Life. Beautifully written, as always, and with photographs that make me want to jump on the train immediately and get back down there.

You can read the the whole thing, and previous posts about Rob if you click here!

New Mugs

The collection of mugs available in the shop, which are all printed by hand in the studio, is growing ever bigger. A bit like our range of tiles, which is pretty huge now.

This weekend we had a few new 'ASTONISH ME!' mugs, in various shades of blue and some just in black.

Columbia Road Flowers

The market was lively, and lovely yesterday. Really spoilt for choice when it came to flowers, but I chose these beauties.

Something New Every Week

There is, as always, such a lot going on. Rob's show in Charleston has been extended until October 28th, the work for the show in New York is all in crates and ready to go and the most incredible paper cut for the show in Manchester is about to be framed.

In between time everyone at the studio tries very hard to provide one or two new things for the shop each week. Sometimes it's a brand new print or piece of ceramics, and sometimes it might be a card, a mug or cushion in a new colourway. The cards we sell are all hand screen printed, cut, folded and packaged in the studio. The tiles, mugs, money boxes, egg cups and plates are all printed by hand, as are the bags and cushions. A real labour of love!

Most of the things we have in the shop are either signed and numbered limited editions, very small runs or complete one off's. At the moment we also have these, a handful of plates in sampled colours.

Choosing Keeping

We are delighted to have a fabulous new neighbour next door to us in Columbia Road.

This is the very lovely Julia in her shop Choosing Keeping which opened just last weekend.

Julia sells carefully selected stationery products from around the world. Beautiful fountain pens, unusual pencils and incredibly desirable pencil sharpeners, including my favourite, a small brass sharpener that you can adjust according to how wide your pencil is and comes in it's own little leather case! There are all kinds of notebooks, paperweights with floating dandelions, and a small but thoughtful selection of books.

If you can't make it to Columbia Road, Choosing Keeping will also be selling online very soon.

Welcome to Columbia Road Julia. We wish you much success!
